Today I woke up, saw an amazing sun rise . . . oh and climbed a FREAKING volcano!

Well another week is done. I have said it a few times already, but time is FLYING by. My two month mark is quickly approaching. This week was really stressful, more than it needed to be I believe. We finished our semester last week and used this week to prepare for the upcoming semester, I was actually looking forward to this because last semester I came in the middle and just picked up where the last teacher left off, but now I have my OWN classes and I got to make my own schedule. Well on Monday I was sick I woke up and the mosquito's had feasted on my face and I had a pretty bad reaction, my face swelled to an abnormal size and I was just not feeling good so I called in to work, missing the first day of prep. I went to the doctors that night got a nice little injection and things where peachy. Now our class lists where supposed to be ready last week so when I came into work on Tuesday I was fully expecting to have my class list so I could begin preparing . . . I get to work and

I think I am part fish.

Last week I had the opportunity to go white water rafting, it was an AMAZING experience and I really enjoyed it, the best day I have had since I got here. I like breaking out of routine and doing something I have never done before. We had to leave Surabaya at 5 in the AM which is rough but so worth it. We arrived in Probolingo around 8am and headed down to the river at 9am. While we were hiking down the river I attempted to hit my roommate in the butt with my oar, unfortunately I stopped paying attention to where I was walking and fell in a hole. . . karma I guess. We went rafting for around 3 hours the rapids where great because it is rainy season. When we were done rafting we went cliff jumping and then headed back home. I uh became friends with our rafting guide he came down to Surabaya last weekend to visit and we had a lot of fun. He doesn't speak a lot of English and I don't speak a lot of Indonesian but we both know enough to get by. Thats all I am going to say about tha

So I have been here for just over a month, actually a month and a half already. I can't believe how fast time goes. Before I came here a year seemed like such a long time, but I have a feeling when this year is up I am not going to believe how fast it went by. I have a confession to make, I am now HOOKED on the Twilight series. Hear me out. When I came to Indonesia I only brought one book, I was seriously strapped for space and when I weighed my suitcases I was WAY over the weight limit (thankfully the lady was nice and waved all weight fees) Anyways, I finished my one book and I asked my roommates if they had any books I could borrow. Ellie had Twilight, I reluctantly took it. I read it in less than a week, it is such a good book. Two days after I finished it we were at the mall and then I caved even more and bought the movie - also really good. So now that I am hooked Ellie tells me she only has the first book of the series, so I am searching for cheap copies of the rest of the s
